Davide Frattesi hints at Roma return: “I wasn’t ready in the summer.”

Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi is rumoured as Roma’s primary reinforcement for the midfield despite an arrival of his in January is highly improbable given Sassuolo’s position in the table and the Neroverdi’s demands for the 23-year-old.

The Italian midfielder once again touched upon the collapsed deal in the summer which would have seen him return to Roma after five years away from the Italian capital in a recent interview with Cronache di Spogliatoio.

“Rethinking it all over again, I come to the conclusion that when you are about to take the next step in your career, you must be ready for it.”

“I could have left after last season, but I didn’t feel 100% ready, and this season will serve to do just that. I want to be ready.”
