Daniele De Rossi’s arrival at Roma resulted in Mile Svilar taking over the starting spot in Roma’s sticks and proving his doubters wrong.

The Serbian shot-stopper continues to impress and improve under the guidance of De Rossi and his staff with Roma ready to make him their first-choice in goal for years to come.

According to Corriere della Sera, Svilar is one of the players with whom De Rossi has been working the closest since his appointment in mid-January.

The newspaper details how, during each training session, De Rossi and some of his staff members specifically focus on Svilar’s footwork and his contribution to Roma’s gameplan when playing out from the back.

For De Rossi, Roma’s success in going forward starts with Svilar being capable of distributing quality balls to his teammates.
