Spanish fullback Angeliño received considerable praise from the man who wanted him at Roma in the first place, namely head coach Daniele De Rossi.
De Rossi – on whose instructions Roma signed Angeliño in the January window – praised the 27-year-old and discussed his importance to the team’s success going forward after last night’s 3-0 win over Frosinone.
“I like him a lot, both as a person and footballer,” De Rossi told reporters in his post-match press confernece.
“He is a player worthy of Roma, he can play in any team in the world – he is that good. He is integrating very well, I would like him to push even more offensively, he hasn’t played for a long time and we have to manage him carefully.”
“When I tell him to help out in defense more it becomes easier for us to play out from the back but we lose an attacking solution,” he noted.
