De Rossi discusses Dybala’s status ahead of Salernitana, Belotti rumors and more

Roma boss Daniele De Rossi took part in a post-match press conference following the Giallorossi’s 2-1 win over Al Shabab in last night’s friendly in Riyadh.

During the press conference, De Rossi addressed Paulo Dybala’s status ahead of the next matchday with Salernitana.

“He’s been training on his own,” said De Rossi. “I hope and think we will have him with us on Monday in Salerno.”

“The transfer window? I don’t want to be mean but I prefer not to talk about this.”

“I want to underline one aspect, however: the sense of professionalism and participation with which Tiago Pinto has manifested how close he is to me. In a few days he will be leaving and in such a situation it would also be human to be a little distant from events that will not belong to him in just a few day’s time: instead he continues to be active and stay by my side in managing everyday life at the club.”

“Belotti? I have known Andrea for years, I know what kind of a footballer he is and what a great man he is. It’s clear that I’m counting on him, but there’s no need to underline it: he is an exemplary professional.”

“Salernitana? We only have 2-3 training sessions to prepare for this match after this friendly. But I have extraordinary players who have a sense of sacrifice. Now we need to recover for Monday.”
