Daniele De Rossi spoke to Sky Sport on the eve of the first leg of the Europa League playoffs with Feyenoord.

The Roma head coach was asked about his emotions prior to his first European match as manager.

“I find the whole situation to be intriguing and exciting. I started this journey a bit hastily, it excites me, it always keeps me awake at night,” said De Rossi.

“The first match at the Olimpico was no less exciting than this one. I’m discovering everything, I want to give my best regardless of how long it lasts.”

“Dybala and Lukaku? They’re fine. They worked well in these few days that we trained. I think they look very good, even in terms of morale. We work better after victories, but I’m happy with how we’re working after the defeat to Inter.”

“Ndicka? He is not back, yet. He called me during the press conference, but I could not answer him. He will arrive on Friday and will be very cheerful and happy. We will congratulate him, we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch because he is an important player. We will be happy to have the whole group finally, only Tammy is missing, but I don’t expect him to be out for too long.”

“Of course I’ve encountered some challenges. There is so much time, so many things to do. There is a lot of extra football to be played, there is the transfer market to think about, but fortunately I was put in a position to do my job, both by the club, the owners and the management. There will always be difficulties, even when I’m 60, but doing it in such an organized club and with such strong players is easier.”
