De Rossi emerges as potential candidate for Salernitana coaching job

After having appointed former Roma director Walter Sabatini as their new sporting director, Salernitana may look to reunite Sabatini with an old friend of his in the form of legend Daniele De Rossi.

According to Quotidiano del Sud, Sabatini is already at work for Salernitana’s long-term plans that include a very probable relegation in the summer. The ex-Roma sporting director has reportedly contacted Daniele De Rossi and included him among candidates for the coaching position.

De Rossi – who earlier in October earned his UEFA coaching badge following his temporary position in Roberto Mancini’s national team staff – is looking to start his first experience as a manager and thus could reunite, after many years, with Sabatini.
