Roma are hard at work planning the season ahead, their first with Daniele De Rossi in charge.

After once again missing out on Champions League football, the capital club are determined to improve the squad at De Rossi’s disposal.

However, first the Giallorossi will have to secure the sales of players who no longer fit in the club’s long-term plans.

Earlier today, numerous meetings were held in the Giallorossi sports center of Trigoria to take stock of next season, reports Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sport.

Technical director Florent Ghisolfi, CEO Lina Souloukou, CFO Maurizio Lombardo and Daniele De Rossi were present.

De Rossi will have a central role in the club’s transfer market, adds Mangiante.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin also participated in the meetings, speaking on the call.

Roma’s objective is to accelerate the transfers of players deemed out of the project, and then focus on targeted signings to strengthen the team.
