Daniele De Rossi is reportedly a big fan of Gianluca Scamacca.
The Italian striker – already linked in the past with a return to Roma – is said to still be on the Giallorossi’s radar as the season winds to an end.
The capital club are in fact making considerations for the future of their attack given that Tammy Abraham recently returned from an ACL injury and Romelu Lukaku is unlikely to extend his stay at Roma due to the elevated costs of his buy option from Chelsea.
Thus, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma are already pondering their summer strategy which in large part will depend on whether Daniele De Rossi and his men can qualify to next year’s Champions League.
With Champions League placement secured, Roma could pursue Scamacca – who is currently on loan at Atalanta from West Ham – who is De Rossi’s favorite option to lead the team’s attack next season.
Without Champions League qualification, however, Roma would not be able to come anywhere near West Ham’s demands for the Italian forward.
