De Rossi not worried about Dovbyk’s goalless start

Daniele De Rossi spoke at length about Artem Dovbyk’s scoring drought which continued in last night’s 0-0 result at the Allianz Stadium.

The Italian technician was asked several times throughout his post-match presser whether he was getting worried about Dovbyk’s lack of goals so far during his early days at Roma.

“I think he’s been very positive,” De Rossi told the media on Sunday night. “He works a lot for the team. He helps his teammates immensely, he works hard, and in front of us we had a difficult and dangerous team with an intelligent coach.”

“We must be better at serving him,” De Rossi continued. “We have to be better in the final third. Today we didn’t get to serve him very much but he is strong, he is a unique attacker. Nothing to worry about, he will return to scoring goals like he always has.”

“Dovbyk will score many goals. It was a balanced match, it’s not like Vlahovic had 45 shots on goal!”
