De Rossi to rely on Dybala as key player in Derby della Capitale vs Lazio

Roma are only two days away from the highly anticipated Derby della Capitale with Lazio.

The Giallorossi will face their city rivals on Saturday in a sold-out Stadio Olimpico, in what will be Daniele De Rossi’s first derby as head coach of his boyhood club.

For the derby, De Rossi will rely heavily upon Paulo Dybala who is expected to return to the team’s starting formation.

The Argentine forward had missed the last two weeks with a muscle injury and was only able to feature for the final five minutes of playing time in the 0-0 draw with Lecce on Monday evening.

On Saturday, Il Tempo reports that De Rossi will once again make Dybala the focal point of Roma’s attack with Romelu Lukaku tasked with duties centered around facilitating the action for the ex-Juve man and holding up the ball for the rest of the team.

Dybala will be the key player is what is deemed by several media reports to be the crucial match that could decide De Rossi’s long-term future at the club.
