Roma executive Morgan De Sanctis is back to work after recovering from the severe auto accident that he was involved in last month.
The former goalkeeper was forced to undergo an emergency operation to remove his spleen after his car overturned during the late hours of 5th January. After just over a month, though, De Sanctis is back to 100% and, according to Corriere dello Sport, his stock within the club is on the rise after establishing himself as one of the top collaborators for Tiago Pinto, Roma’s General Director.
Reportedly, the Italian’s relationship with Pinto is incredibly strong and the Portuguese executive has entrusted him with more responsibilities regarding the Giallorossi’s first team.
In fact, it’s even possible that De Sanctis could be promoted to the job of Sporting Director with Simone Lo Schiavo, who joined the club in July, becoming the successor to his current role in helping oversee Roma’s youth setup.
