Interim sporting director Morgan De Sanctis is reconsidering an offer he received from Serie B side Ascoli to become their general manager.
Il Romanista reports that the former goalkeeper has reopened himself to the offer due to the presence and influence of Roma adviser Franco Baldini, who continues to lead the club’s transfer market talks from his home in London.
Should the Marche-based avoid relegation, De Sanctis would be open to departing the Giallorossi in order to carve his own path and grow as a professional at a club where he would have more influence and decision-making power.
De Sanctis would also be reunited with Giuseppe Bifulco — who recently departed his role at Roma as head of the scouting sector to become the sporting director at Ascoli.
