De Sanctis rejects Ascoli approach

Morgan De Sanctis, the vice sporting director of Roma, has reportedly rejected an approach from Serie B side Ascoli.

Alfredo Pedullà of SportItalia has reported that the Marche-based side approached the former Giallorossi goalkeeper and second in command to Gianluca Petrachi to become their new sporting director.

De Sanctis rebuffed the approach in favor of remaining at Roma, whom he rejoined in 2017 following his retirement as a player.

Giuseppe Bifulco, who is currently a collaborator of the technical area at Roma as well as De Sanctis’ assistant, has accepted the position.

Bifulco will replace the recently departed Antonio Tesoro at the Serie B side.
