RomaPress – Marash Kumbulla is joining AS Roma from Hellas Verona on loan with an obligation to buy.

The representatives of the Albanian defender have confirmed exclusively to RomaPress that the 20 year-old is joining the Giallorossi on a permanent deal from the Venetian side.

“Yes, it’s done (for a move to Roma). He is signing a five-year contract with the Giallorossi”, said one of the player’s representatives.

Kumbulla will land in Rome tomorrow afternoon before undergoing his medical examinations and signing his contract, which will earn him €2 million (including bonuses) per season, with Paulo Fonseca’s side, who will pay nearly €30 million total for the player.

The defender was previously linked to both Inter and Lazio — however, both clubs failed to finalise the operation.

The operation for Kumbulla was overseen almost entirely by intermediary Paolo Busardò while Gianni Vitali, the agent of the player, handled the player’s contractual details.
