RomaPress – Roma and Paris Saint-Germain have finalised an agreement for the permanent transfer of midfielder Leandro Paredes—marking his return to the club after six years.
Eager to get to his €7.5 million in net wages off their books, the French giants agreed to sell the Argentinean international to the Giallorossi at a cut-rate price of less than €5 million total (including bonuses).
Meanwhile, the midfielder agreed to take a pay-cut and sign a two-year contract with an option for an additional season. As for his wages, he’ll earn just over €4 million (net) per season–however, Roma will only be on the hook for 50% of this figure thanks to Italy’s decreto crescita.
His agent, Lisandro Pirosanto, mediated the transfer between the two clubs and completed the final details late this afternoon in what was an expedited negotiation.
Paredes is expected to land in the Italian capital tomorrow to begin carrying out his medical examinations before finalising his reunion with Roma.
