Roma have secured their first outgoing deals of their summer transfer market campaign on the same day they welcomed Jose Mourinho to the club.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that wantaway pair Pau Lopez and Cengiz Ünder are joining Marseille on respective loan deals from Roma. The deals are expected to be finalised in the next few hours as the Giallorossi secure two crucial sales.
The Spanish shot-stopper will move to the French giants on loan with an option to buy. Though, the option becomes an obligation to buy once he makes twenty appearances for the club.
He initially expressed doubts about joining Jorge Sampaoli’s side and there was fear that the deal could collapse. However, after further discussions, the 26 year-old’s uncertainties were dampened and he penned his contract with the club.
Ünder, meanwhile, will also join Marseille on loan with an option to buy. There are still minor details missing, but he is expected to sign his contract within the coming hours.
