Deal for Izzo not imminent

RomaPress – Whispers have emerged throughout the last few hours that Roma are closing in on a deal for Torino defender Armando Izzo.

The 28 year-old Torino defender is keen to move on from the Granata as this summer might be one of his final chances to join a big, Italian club.

To help make a transfer come to fruition, Izzo recently switched agents and is now represented Mino Raiola after having been with Paolo Palermo’s agency for a number of years.

Izzo has been offered to nearly every single big Serie A side throughout the last few weeks, however, only Roma and Fiorentina have registered their interest in the player.

In fact, it’s true that Raiola offered the Giallorossi the chance to sign the central defender at much lower price than the rumored €25 million that Torino are seeking.

Roma have opened talks for Izzo, but these are still in the very early stages and a potential transfer for the defender is still a long way off.
