RomaPress – Wolverhampton goalkeeper Rui Patricio is closing in on a transfer to Roma, however, more time is required before the deal can become official.
Multiple sources have denied the rumors that emerged over the previous 24 hours, when several Italian outlets reported that the Giallorossi finally reached an agreement with Wolves on a transfer fee for the 33 year-old.
Individuals from both Roma and GestiFute, the agency that represents the Portuguese international, have denied the rumor that the deal has been finalised. While it’s true that the ex-Sporting man already has a contract agreement in place with Roma, Wolves haven’t accepted any bid for him.
Patricio is expected to move to the Eternal City eventually, but the two clubs still have yet to reach an agreement on a fee. The player’s representatives, though, are hopeful the impasse can be resolved in the coming days.
