Deal reached for Fonseca: could arrive in Rome Monday

Paulo Fonseca’s arrival at Roma is now a matter of minor details. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that a deal has been reached between the Giallorossi and Shakhtar Donetsk to free the Portuguese from his agreement with the Ukrainian side as the clubs agreed to a €2 million fee, a discount from his €5 million buyout clause. No players will be included in the operation but it’s now up to Shakhtar to formalise the divorce with Fonseca — after that, Roma will be able to announce his appointment. The ex-Porto boss could arrive as early as Monday in the capital.
