Dean Huijsen completes most successful passes in Roma debut

Newly acquired Roma defender Dean Huijsen was able to make his debut for the Giallorossi last night in the 1-1 draw with Atalanta.

The Dutchman came on in the second half to replace injured Diego Llorente.

This was Huijsen’s second Serie A appearance after a brief 12-minute cameo appearance with Juventus in the match against Milan.

Last night, Huijsen – despite his young age – held his own and controlled the ball well against a difficult opponent such as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

In fact, OptaPaolo reports that Huijsen completed 39 passes in his debut, more than any other player on the pitch in the second half.
