Decision on Verona appeal expected in the coming days

Roma will have to wait to learn the fate of their appeal for the automatic 0-3 loss handed down to them against Hellas Verona.

The FIGC (Italian FA) announced this evening that the hearing for the Giallorossi’s appeal was completed after being heard by the National Sporting Court of Appeals this afternoon.

“The hearing presented by Roma to the National Sporting Court of Appeals has been completed,” read their statement.

“The two judicial panels, chaired respectively by Piero Sandulli and Lorenzo Attolico, are now in Chambers and their decisions will be announced once they have been reached.”

Roma’s lawyer, Antonio Conte, presented the club’s case to the court via videoconference after they were adjudged to have used an ineligible player in the match, which ended 0-0.
