Roma continue to be engaged in talks with West Ham Unite for Gianluca Scamacca.

The Italian striker is on Roma’s priority list for the summer as the Giallorossi look to strengthen their attacking department following Tammy Abraham’s long-term knee injury.

Negotiations with West Ham proved to be more difficult than expected with Roma unable to convince the English side to allow Scamacca’s loan.

However, Sky Sport reports that Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal being made official on Saturday could represent a breakthrough in talks for Scamacca as West Ham will lower their demands given the massive fee earned from Rice’s sale.
