Defrel: “The goal will come soon.”

Roma attacker Gregoire Defrel was interviewed today by Sky Sport. These are his words:

Are you ready to score your first goal?
I’m ready, but before everything else, I’m waiting to get back to my level and return to form and find the feelings I had before. The goal, I’m sure, will come soon.

The main difficulty in the transition from Sassuolo to Roma? The pressures or the injuries?
A bit both, it is true that many things change going from Sassuolo to Roma, the pressure plays a role but I also had injuries. The only thing to do is work, I have scored goals in the past and I know that I will also do so here.

On the market: do you believe in the project or have you listened to the offers that have arrived?
I’ve read the newspapers, but the transfer market is the last thing I am thinking about. I am only thinking about Roma and doing well here.

What has happened with the team?
We’re in a particular period, we have shown that we are a great team, we finished first in the Champions League group and we had great matches in the league, then we had some difficulties, including injuries and more, but we’re not looking for excuses. It is a difficult moment.

How is Di Francesco in difficulty?
I’ve known him for two years and he’s always been the same way: he looks to work hard and looks for focus.

Does he have control of the group?
Yes, even with the transfer market rumors I see that everyone is concentrated on giving their best. The team has improved after the winter break.
