Defrel-Samp reach agreement on contract

Sassuolo and Sampdoria have been engaged in a race to acquire Roma’s Gregoire Defrel. However, it appears that Eusebio Di Francesco’s are the ones to ultimately walk away with the signature of the Frenchman. Nicolo Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Defrel and the Genova-based side have agreed to terms on a contract: a four-year deal worth €1.6 million plus bonuses per season. The news comes just one day after it emerged that the Giallorossi and Sampdoria are very close to agreeing on the financial figures of the transfer: a loan with an obligation to buy worth nearly €14 million in total.
