Former Inter player and currently Sampdoria manager Dejan Stankovic sounded upset with today’s defeat in Rome.
Following the 3-0 result in Roma’s favor, Stankovic discussed the episodes that led to his side going down to ten men after a red card for defender Jeison Murillo.
“It’s a shame that we went down to 10 men,” he told DAZN after the final whistle. “I can honestly say that we looked strong on the pitch and maintained control of the game as best as we could.”
“I congratulate the boys on how they held the pitch, I don’t comment on the episodes , I leave the comments to the experts, nothing will change for me, the regret remains.”
“I liked the lads, we played a great game, we didn’t suffer too much against a team like Roma who are aiming to go to the Champions League.”
