Despite having qualified for the next round of the Europa League, Roma boss Paulo Fonseca was none too pleased with his side’s approach in their 2-2 draw against Wolfsberger this evening. Here’s what the Portuguese manager had to say to Roma TV after the match:
So you’re happy having qualified but disappointed with this game.
It is clear that I did not like the attitude of the team. We need to be more aggressive, we didn’t have a good game today.
Was it just a bad game or was it an attitude problem?
We thought it would be easy – I didn’t like some of the players tonight. It’s hard for me to talk but some players didn’t deserve to play in this game.
Are you more angry about the physical, technical or tactical part?
Physically no, but technically we made numerous mistakes. It’s difficult to comprehend how we made so many errors.
