RomaPress – Spanish attacker Pedro has played his final match for Chelsea.
The former Barcelona man suffered a dislocated shoulder in Saturday’s FA Cup final against Arsenal and was carted off in the latter stages of the match. Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo has reported that Pedro will undergo an operation following the injury and will be ruled out for one month.
Despite the injury, officials at Roma have confirmed to RomaPress that the attacker’s move to the Giallorossi is not at risk.
Pedro will still be one of the first acquisitions of the summer for Paulo Fonseca’s side, who originally planned on bringing the player in for his medical following the Blue’s Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.
Pedro’s medical examination and contract signature will be slightly delayed, but the deal is still done: the Spaniard will join Roma.
