RomaPress – Alessandro Florenzi has been the focus of many transfer rumors and speculation over the last few weeks. The Giallorossi captain only recently returned to the fold as the team’s first-choice right back after a long spell on the bench, which led to several sides both in Italy and abroad to come forward and express their interest in the 28 year-old.
One of the clubs that was heavily linked with a potential move for Florenzi was Spanish side Sevilla, the home of former Roma sporting director Ramon Monchi. The Spanish press reported today that Monchi would be interested in reuniting with Florenzi and bringing him to Spain. However, multiple directors at both Roma and Sevilla denied that they were in talks for a potential operation involving Florenzi — who looks increasingly likely to remain at Trigoria during this January transfer window.
