Di Francesco: “This match would be an important response.”

Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco spoke ahead of his side’s clash against Juve. These are his words:

“I can say that Roma are one of the antagonists. I thank Allegri because he is giving us a compliment and considering us as a strong opponent. He knows very well how to win and he knows how to evaluate the opposition. The numbers he mentioned about Alisson and our defence are important. He is a manager at the highest level from all points of view. Juve have some very important players but I think Higuain is very lethal as a player and behind him it’s also too easy to mention Dybala, who I think is a champion, and also Mandzukic, he is one who ruins the balance of a team.”

”Dzeko? He’s in a moment where he has a great desire to score. He’s staying positive and making himself available to the team, he’s putting the collective ahead of himself. I am convinced that the goals will come because he has the qualities and the means to do it. This is an important match where the ‘Dzeko-Higuain’ duel could be decisive for the final result. And then there’s Schick. He is growing from all points of view. This match would be an important response for the entire group. The article in Tuttosport (who today called the three players now at Juve who formerly played at Roma as ‘losers turned winners)? I have no reply to this. This is something that should motivate us even more for this match. There is freedom of the press, freedom to write what we want and there is only one way we can answer: on the pitch.”
