Di Francesco-Sampdoria to part ways

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Eusebio Di Francesco and Sampdoria have reached an agreement for the consensual termination of the manager’s contract with the club. The ex-Roma boss has struggled mightily with the Blucerchiati this season, as they currently sit at the bottom of the Serie A table.

The Giallorossi face Sampdoria following the international on 20 October in Genova. It remains to be seen who replaces Di Francesco but several names including Stefano Pioli have been linked to the vacancy.
