Di Francesco speaks ahead of Inter showdown

Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco spoke today ahead of the Giallorossi’s clash against Inter. These are his words:

What are the conditions of Perotti and Pastore?
They’re available. Certainly they will take some time to get back, they’re not ready to start. The final training will give me a better idea, but they certainly not play from the first minute.

How is the psychological aspect improving?
I’ve never stopped, there are so many components between the mental component and the large number of absences we’ve suffered, we’ll need a bit extra this weekend. We often say it, but we need consistency. We have these lapses following half time, it means that there are still problems for us, we still need the extra push to get the ball into the back of the net. It’s all up to us.

Does Florenzi as an attacker give you more balance?
To say yes or no would give an advantage to Spalletti. It is possible. Perotti not being available has hurt.

Is Schick playing for his future in this set of matches?
Today I came with some numbers. He has played 500 minutes more than last year. What do you want? He must do better – all must. He needs to show more conviction and believe more in the exceptional ability he has.

What is the fate of Roma with these players?
We need strong men. I must try to instil strength in the players by working on their mindset and on being consistent. We owe the fans strong performances, but we need their support too.

How’s Fazio?
We’ll see. That’s the only area of the pitch where I have option. I could play with three or four at the back, depending on the system I’m working on, I’ll see which one will be more appropriate.

El Shaarawy?
He’s injured, we’ll see, he’s similar to the situation of Dzeko.
