Eusebio Di Francesco spoke today ahead of the Giallorossi’s clash tomorrow against Juve in Turin. These are his words:
How are the injured players?
The one with the best chance to return is Dzeko. He will be back in training with the team for the first time today and we’ll see whether he can make the bench. He’s been out for 20 days – he’ll almost certainly be in the squad but of course won’t be in shape to start. As for the others, we have hope that De Rossi will train with the team, his conditions will be evaluated day by day.For the others, there is no hope for this match but we will evaluate for the next one with Sassuolo.
What type of match do you expect?
They’ve shown themselves to be the best team in Italy for many years now. Roma have never picked up a good result in Turin, but maybe we’ll put in a great performance tomorrow. Allegri spoke about the need to do well technically, mentally and physically: all are essential for playing a good match.
Is Schick the most logical solution to replace Dzeko or is Zaniolo?
It’s more difficult with Zaniolo, you can do many formations on a blackboard but then you evaluate and see things on the pitch, I don’t think this is the right solution, I didn’t get the right answers from Zaniolo in that role. Kluivert and Under could play on the right wings, or perhaps I could play two strikers. We must keep an eye on Under’s fitness, though.
Could Florenzi play in attack?
I would like to keep the formation a secret, we’ll see because can play in various roles.
Are you feeling more reassured after the victory against Genoa and the meeting in Boston?
I actually wake up ever morning with the feeling I’m in question, when you see that things do not turn you always ask questions, I think to look ahead and do things better than we have done until now. football the coach is always ahead of everyone as a responsibility.
Any news on the transfer market from Boston?
It is inevitable that this team will have to do something. I haven’t asked Monchi about the market, or at least he did not mention it, we talked more about what we have to do now to get to 29 December with the most points as possible, and then, rightly so, we will make our evaluations. Given the general conditions and physicals problems we’ve endured this season, it’s inevitable we’ll do something.
They have had great continuity in training, I am happy with how they are training but it is difficult for them to play from the start.
