Di Francesco speaks ahead of Samp

Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco spoke today ahead of his side’s clash against Sampdoria. These are his words:

“I will say two words before we begin on the transfer market and with the situations that have occurred. Currently all the players called are available for the match to be held in 36 hours, which is very important for us. I have to try to prepare all the players available as best as possible, including those who are being discussed, of which I will not mention names. You can talk about the psychological and mental aspect but my first thought is to prepare for the match better. All players in the roster are Roma players. The director stated about all the outside noise, I have to, meanwhile, prepare for the match.”

Roma seems to be two-faced: what answers have you given?
We need to make assessments, a less incisive team must have the ability to be more determined and get fewer passes wrong. We need to create more important opportunities or at least finish better. I like to emphasize the great performance of our goalkeeper, but on other occasions, Roma has never embraced their goalkeeper. We are extremely close to this extraordinary goalkeeper, who is also one for the future. Meanwhile, I also have to make physical assessments, too.

Sampdoria is in form.
You say in form after watching their last match, but they lost to Benevento, perhaps they aren’t in the best shape. They have the exact identity as their Mister, to attack the goal with ease. I do not know if Quagliarella will play, but it is a team that can create difficulties but we can also create them for them. The Marassi is never easy.

Tomorrow will Dzeko start?
As of today, yes. But I also have to make a mental evaluation with the player. I have not talked to him yet, there’s so much chatter regarding him. It is correct that a Roma player should play, if today Dzeko is a Roma player, he must play.

Is De Rossi better?
He is a huge doubt, we will try today with him but we will unlikely recover him for Wednesday. We tried but I think it is difficult to have him available.
