Di Francesco speaks ahead of Udinese showdown

John Solano

Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco held his usual pre-match press conference today st Trigoria ahead of his side’s match against Udinese. These are his words:

The Champions League returns: will the turnover return, too?
I have always given continuity to the players I considered most appropriate for certain matches. When there have been matches close together, I made a few more decisive choices. I have to say that this week there will be more rotation than the last matches, as I did in the past when the team achieved important results.

How has Udinese changed from Delneri to Oddo? What differences will there be from the first leg?
Oddo has realised more than Delneri in terms of opportunities created, plus he has given more concreteness, but Delneri is a great manager, though, Oddo is a good young manager, I have faced him as both a player and manager. He has good potential and quality.

Juan Jesus will play so Kolarov can rest?
For Silva, we still have to evaluate him, starting Sunday he will start to do some things with the rest of the team. Jesus could be a possibility both as a central defender or left-back, I will evaluate between today and tomorrow, but he could play a part.

Schick? With De Rossi, will you return to the 4-3-3?
Roma have been enriched playing in this new (4-2-3-1) formation, the lads have done well to familiarise themselves with this new formation. With the right characteristics, playing this way can add value. I will not tell you how I will play for tomorrow, but I will make as few changes as possible. Schick has trained well and with great continuity, even if he does not play from the first minute, but I really see him growing both physically and psychologically.
