Diawara avoids ACL tear, suffers meniscus tear

RomaPress – Roma can breathe a sigh of relief. Sources close to Amadou Diawara have confirmed that the player has avoided an ACL tear. The ex-Napoli man was forced off in the first half against Cagliari and was stretchered off the pitch due to a knee injury. There was a fear he may have torn his ACL — however, tests confirmed Diawara suffered a torn meniscus, which requires a significantly less recovery time.
