Diawara undergoes surgery, out for one month

RomaPress – Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara underwent successful surgery today on the torn meniscus suffered in yesterday’s match against Cagliari. Sources close to the player claim that the Guinean will miss roughly 30-40 days of action following the operation. With the international break having arrived, Diawara has bought himself two weeks to recover without missing a single match — however, there is the possibility he misses up to 6-7 matches between league and Europa League commitments, including showdowns against Sampdoria, Milan and Napoli.

Following the procedure, Diawara took to his official Instagram to reveal everything went well: “Guys, it all went well. Thank you for the support, we’ll see you soon and always, Forza Roma”!
