With less than three days remaining in the January transfer market, Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara’s future is still up in the air.

The Guinean international is seeking an exit from the club after failing to win over manager José Mourinho.

Several clubs in Italy and abroad held talks with his agent, Daniele Piraino, throughout this month to discuss a potential move. Despite the broad interest, no team has submitted an official offer for the midfielder.

Today, Piraino discussed the situation of his client and revealed that Valencia, who he held discussions with on multiple occasions, is his dream destination.

He told AS, “Diawara’s path has to be decided over the next few days. Both Italian and French clubs are interest, but his dream is to play for Valencia.”

“During the meeting (yesterday with Roma) it was decided that he should leave. However, all I can say right now is that he’s excited by the idea of Valencia.”
