For the second match in a row, Roma manager Jose Mourinho has excluded Borja Mayoral, Gonzalo Villar, Bryan Reynolds, and Amadou Diawara from his squad.
Once again, the quartet will find themselves in the stands for Roma’s away match tomorrow against Cagliari. The decision comes after Mourinho heavily criticised the performance of his team in last week’s Conference League disaster versus Bodø/Glimt.
Daniele Piraino, the agent of Diawara, was asked about the situation today and admitted he’s confused by the former United manager’s approach.
“I don’t exactly know what the message is supposed to be,” began Piraino during an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“I don’t understand it, why? Is there something Amadou has to atone for? If so, what is it? Is he doing this because he’s unhappy with how he played?”
“Whatever it is, I think Mourinho is making things uncomfortable on everyone involved in this situation, not just Amadou.”
Adding, “It’s an inexplicable decision, but we’ll adapt. Amadou is an exemplary professional.”
