Diawara’s entourage rejects Galatasaray option

RomaPress – Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara is set to remain at the club at least until January.

Throughout the summer, Guinean was tipped to leave the Italian capital after two seasons. The 24 year-old drew interest from teams England, Germany, and Italy, but no transfer was ultimately concluded.

The Giallorossi reignited their attempts over the past few days to offload the player to clubs in Turkey and Russia, where the transfer window remains open. One of the clubs who expressed interest in acquiring Diawara was Galatasaray.

The Turkish giants initiated contact with the midfielder’s entourage over the weekend. The Istanbul outfit offered to bring him on loan with the option to make the deal permanent.

However, members of the player’s entourage confirmed to RomaPress that he rebuffed Gala’s overtures. Should he depart Roma, Diawara would prefer to play in one of the top leagues in Europe.
