As we approach the official opening date to the transfer market, Roma are consistently being linked to more and more names. The latest suggestion is Diego Carlos, Sevilla’s 28-year-old Brasilian center-back. This past season he made all of 46 appearances across all competitions, with one goal to his name. The price-tag is of around 30 million euros, reports Il Messaggero.
So far, Roma have been linked with other defenders including Lille’s Botman and Manchester City’s Aké. A lot will depend on the future of Smalling, and to a smaller degree, of Roger Ibañez. Right now, the club is focused on reducing the wage bill before bringing in new names.
