Spanish defender Diego Llorente is increasingly becoming an important figure inside Roma’s locker room.

After returning to the capital club on loan from Leeds United following his initial six-month spell last season, Llorente has now reaffirmed his place in Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven.

As reported by, Llorente is now the defender with most completed tackles this season, 24, and is the third player in the entire roster in terms of duels won (63).

In Roma’s latest win over Napoli, Llorente’s impact proved vital to the success of the team in limiting Napoli striker Victor Osimhen: 3 saves, 2 blocked shots, 6 tackles won out of 8 and 85% passing accuracy.
