Spanish defender Diego Llorente discussed his recent decision to return to Roma.
After completing a six-month-long loan spell at the club, Llorente was able to return to Roma on a dry loan from Leeds United until the end of next season.
Llorente was interviewed about his return in the aftermath of Saturday’s preseason friendly with Boreale.
“I immediately felt loved here, I wanted to come back, I wanted to do a full season here. And now I’m back,” he told the media gathered outside the Tre Fontane stadium.
“Kristensen? Rasmus is a great signing,” Llorente said of his former teammate at Leeds United who also joined Roma on loan recently. “He’s a complete player both as a defender and with regards to his attacking output.”
“Now we are focused on this new season. We are focused on preparation, on working hard because we want to proceed step by step, training after training.”
“One of the main strengths of this team is its flexibility in adapting to various gameplans. What remains the same is the desire to win all the time.”
