Diego Llorente is Roma’s second January signing as he joins the Giallorossi on loan with buy option from Leeds United.
The Spanish defender will serve as Mourinho’s fifth choice centreback behind Marash Kumbulla.
Upon landing in Rome on Monday afternoon, Llorente told La Gazzetta dello Sport, “Having the opportunity to work with Mourinho is a dream come true,” as the pair briefly worked together at Real Madrid when Llorente was barely 20 years old.
Later today the ex-Malaga man will sign his Roma contract and join the team for training ahead of Roma-Cremonese in Coppa Italia.
