Diego Llorente’s future at Roma dependent on Dean Huijsen’s

Andy Mattioli

Spanish defender Diego Llorente is still unsure about his long-term stay at Roma.

After renewing his loan spell at the club in the summer of 2023, Llorente is now drawing closer to the expiry of his temporary deal with the Giallorossi.

According to Italian journalist Francesco Balzani for ForzaRoma.info, Roma could, after all, make his signing permanent from Leeds United for a fee of €5 million.

However, Balzani suggests that Llorente’s future will also be dependent on Dean Huijsen’s: Roma are trying to extend the 18-year-old’s loan from Juventus.

In case of Huijsen staying for one more year, Roma would likely choose to part ways with Llorente by possibly selling him in turn for a higher fee.
