Diogo Dalot emerges as suitable Karsdorp back-up

Andy Mattioli

Although the January transfer window is still far away, various names continue being linked to Roma as the club will be keen on adding reinforcements during the winter break.

According to calciomercato.com, one of the names is that of Portuguese international Diogo Dalot. The Manchester United defender who spent last season on loan at Milan is not happy with his current playing time at Old Trafford.

The right-back is well liked by Mourinho who wanted him in his days as manager of the Red Devils.

Dalot is considered to be an upgrade over Bryan Reynolds and a valid back-up to Roma’s starting right-back Rick Karsdorp.

General Manager Tiago Pinto is considering making a move for Dalot on loan with option to buy later in January.
