Djurgardens executive Bo Magnus Andersson confirmed the imminent signing of Samuel Dahl with Roma.

In an interview Sportitalia, Andersson was asked about the status of negotiations between Roma and Djurgardens for the 21-year-old left-back.

“I can confirm that we have been in contact with Roma to talk about Samuel. It’s a very concrete thing and they want to sign him, we are in the final part of the negotiations at the moment,” said Andersson.

“Dahl? He is a fantastic player, with a great mentality and has made a lot of progress with us since his signing from Örebro about a year ago. So yes, I say that would be a good thing.”

“He is a modern type of footballer, especially with offensive capabilities for a left back. The nice thing is that he is not tall, but he is also very good in defense. In my opinion he is very similar to Philipp Lahm or someone like that.”

“I think he is ready for Serie A. I think he has excellent foundations, but then he will learn a lot and quickly, because he is someone who gives 100% in every training session. Roma is a great club where many great players play, they will have an opportunity and we are happy about it.”
