Domenico Berardi the favorite to replace Zaniolo at Roma

Despite the recent dismissal of rumors linking Zaniolo with an agreement reached with Juventus on Roma’s part, the Giallorossi are keeping their eyes open for a potential replacement.

Since talks for Gonçalo Guedes recently cooled down, the capital club are once again tracking Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo, reports Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper claims that in Roma’s upcoming meeting with the Neroverdi for Davide Frattesi, Tiago Pinto could also discuss the terms and conditions for an eventual transfer involving 27-year-old Berardi, whose output this past season reached a total of 15 goals and 14 assists.

Berardi is reportedly Mourinho’s first name on the list of candidates to replace Zaniolo and the Italian international seems open to joining Roma in this transfer window.
