Jordan Veretout is edging closer to a permanent exit from the Italian capital in favour of a return to France.
The 28-year-old – Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports – is set to join OM on a permanent transfer.
Marseille will pay Roma €11 million for the ex-Fiorentina man who has been linked with a departure from the Giallorossi since the start of the transfer window.
Moreover, Roma could earn €4.5 million in add-ons – €2 million in case Veretout reaches 30 club appearances, €2.5 million if OM qualify for next year’s UCL.
Veretout’s exit will consequently enable Gini Wijnaldum’s arrival in the Italian capital as Roma have reached an agreement for the Dutchman’s transfer.
