RomaPress – Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is joining Roma on a permanent deal.
The Englishman has said “Yes” to join the capital club after taking a few days to reflect on the move following a series of meetings with Roma executive Tiago Pinto.
He will arrive in Rome tomorrow at Ciampino Airport at 13.00 before undergoing his medical examination at Villa Stuart.
The deal was finalised this evening during a meeting in London involving Pinto, the striker, Anthony Abraham (his father), Neil Fewings (his advisor of the Wasserman Agency), and Italian agent Federico Pastorello, who was the intermediary for the deal.
Roma will pay a total of €40 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses for the attacker, who becomes the most expensive purchase of the club’s history, surpassing Patrik Schick.
He will sign a five-year contract with the club worth €4 million net, including bonuses, per season.
The Giallorossi also confirmed that a buyback clause was inserted into the operation worth €80 million, however, it can only be exercised after two seasons.
The 24 year-old replaces Edin Dzeko after the Bosnian international completed his move to Inter today after six seasons with the Giallorossi.
