Celik had hoped for a different World Cup, but instead, Turkey was eliminated immediately.

Two games and two defeats were enough to eliminate Montella’s team from the World Cup.

An unexpected disappointment.

The Giallorossi full-back, however, knows his future, unlike other players playing in Trigoria.

Celik will sign his contract renewal in the next few hours; negotiations are nearing completion, with an agreement already reached.

Celik will be the first of the players whose contracts expire to sign a new contract.

As Corriere dello Sport reports, the Turkish full-back reached an agreement with Roma before Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini (this morning in Trigoria).

The financial agreement was reached based on approximately €3 million net per season, a slight increase compared to his previous contract. The Turkish full-back is expected to return to Trigoria at the end of July, just days before his summer training camp in Wales. Roma has decided to secure a reliable wingman for Gian Piero Gasperini.
